Any road up as we seem to be lacking in any report or results I thought that a quick interim pracee may be appropriate?
Friday night saw Jtp(congratulations m8) towers full of thirsty Tempest sailors, so we all rambled over the fields to the pub and got ratted. We managed to loose Chris on the way back but unfortunately he got his bearings and found us!
Saturday was a bit of a lackluster day I sailed like a dog we compensated for the mediocre wind by having a lovely meal and a couple of pints at the club!!
Sunday was bloody windy and I sailed like a dog I came closer to a nasty incident than I have for a while and needed to shovel out my dry suit. we compensated for the heavy exertions of the day by getting a lift in Colin's mobile bedroom to the pub.....where we got ratted!
Monday was even windier I sailed like a dog and didn't even manage to get ratted!
It was a bloody good weekend, we were all very very tired and had long arms!
I think that about sums it up for me!

You missed out the best bits I think. Mr Adam and Jr where looking to see how far they could fly the loverly new Tempest by using the Dam wall as a launch ramp. I wonder what the mathematical equation is for flying Tempests is ? I know newtons third law, The third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I think this is it Y=C2+D/pcosh(p/dX+C1) or if it did not work phone the insurance company

Isn't it e (or in this case T) =mc2 ? or to put it another way velocity needed to break the realms of gravity at the same time as smotting the dam wall with enough lift to climb said ramp and launch the shiney object (perhaps sans keel?) towards Ashbourne? By gum that would have made an interesting spectacle

If some one could measure the angle of the dam wall, I am sure that we can work it out.
Weight of Tempest, Crew and Helm about 18st wet (both of them together) hitting Dam Wall at full chat, 23 mph just need the angle and sorted.

I didn't know the old man weighed less than 8 stone or maybe a bit less.
Sorry we didn't try it and that you have to work out the theroy if it possible. We decide the finish line was a better option.

Recon the Dam wall is about 45 maybee 40 degrees when you've worked it out perhaps we could try it with the scotch bonnets boat? might not get 23 mph out of it though! one thing I forgot to mention was Auntie Lillian gave me half a walnut cake that was blummin gorgeous.. she said she wasn't giving it to the boy cause he's turned into a soft southern ponse so he didn't deserve it!!

Just looked at the pictures, they really don't do justice to how bloody cold (or windy) it really was!
