hi all, just purchased a 1971 internat tempest and have a few questions. Can the boat be trailer launched at a ramp without lift? Is there a way to make the keel raise while underway-say for running shallow? I know it is said to race it should be in the fixed down position and faired in but i sail in shallow central west coast of florida and need to get shallow. Is this a good boat to train my three teen sons? Looks fast and stable too. Might race it eventually but for now just want a trailor sailor with speed. Any place i can get a brochure/manual? try this site deltanine.com/Owners.html or I am sure that Guitar or USA 1108 will be in touch. Can I have a play next April when I am over, I am so fed up with Michael Mouse and his happy friends. Great boat and very stable, unless you have had to many beers, sorry thats other fleets, you cant have too ,many beers in the tempest fleet. oh and Well done on getting a Tempest.

thanks for the reply mate. I would more than welcome anyone who would like to sail my tempest. I am not new to sailing but new to this type of boat. Never flown a spinaker or tried to bend mast ect, ect. The boat is sound and am expecting it to be in the water in a few days for my shakedown sail. I live in a small town called New Port Richey, FL approx 20 miles north of Clearwater and 30 miles NW of Tampa. Peace, Patrick
