It is with a MASSIVE amount of regret I've decided to sell Dilemma II - GBR 34.
She is a 1960's ('68 IIRC) Richardson's Mk1.
Chris (my co-owner) and I bought her in 1990 as near-abandoned hull. Over the next twelve years (!!) she was subject to a complete rebuild - split hull and deck, installation of spinnaker chute, reinforced floor, etc, etc. We've got masses of photographs showing both progress on the boat and our receding hair lines over the years
She's finished in International two-pack epoxy paint (dark blue hull, light blue topsides). She has Harken fittings throughout (about £4000 worth at the time ), including windward traveller. She has the original mast (I think) with combination spreaders (diamond shrouds and conventional shrouds in the same spreaders) and some pretty old sails (no spinnaker).
We finally launched her in about 2002 at Arun. We've dry sailed her about four times since then, but we now both have families and 'life' is just interfering with the important things like sailing! She has been well stored, outside but under cover on a home-built road trailer and cover.
Chris is moving to a new house without the space to store her, we just don't sail her and after all the hard work I just don't want her to end up being abandoned again. She deserves so much more!
She's currently on her trailer at Merstham (nr Reigate).
Make me an offer. . .I'm much more interested in finding someone who is going to look after her than squeezing the last £ for her. Having said that don't take the mickey. . .too much
