The Pints of G&T as well as the Broadside are well worth travelling to Arun for (I can't beleive I just said that), The sailing and the club arn't bad either so come on Arun Digits out July is no good if we are off to Deuchland!

A pint of G&T, I thought you where a true northerner, not a sissy G&T drinking southerner. But I do agree, Arun talk to us don't be shy, make the southerns later in the year.

It has been sorted out. The southerns are now on 14th-15th July at Arun. This now clashes with our return from the worlds. I think it is dictated by the tides but without speaking to Arun I can't be sure.

Why not ask another club to host the southerns, Arun can't be bothered to reply, so why should we give them our cash, why not ask Rutland our Gratham, if they would hold a southerns later in the year even as late as October. This way we don't have to worry about tides.

Only thing is the beer doesnt have head on it, wonder how a pint of G&T goes down, maybe crewless is not sissy after all I can now see the merits of a pint of G&T as an alternative to flat southern beer.

Hello to all GBR Tempest sailors.
We in the British Soling Ass are very much looking forward to sailing, and drinking, with you all at the joint Tempest/Soling regatta at Ullswater.
We hope to have between 8 and 10 Solings coming from Blackpool & Fleetwood, Ardrossan, & Fortwilliam.
We'll be drinking beer G&T and red wine in the yacht club and the Sun Inn at Pooley Bridge and hope that you will join us.
Best wishes from all Soling sailors.

Hi Chaps, The Southerns are now set for 14+15 July. It now clashes with the worlds but it is the best that tides allow. The harbour crane has not been booked but I can book it if there are sufficient numbers but we have to fund it between ourselves as well as moorings. No fat smilies, so I can't use 1 of them then.

The Date at Arun for July 14-15 is cancelled.
I have requested Arun that we rescheduel for Town Regatta weekend Aug 18-19 . Although we could do this it would be as set in the regatta. 1 Race Sat, with Cruisers and 2 Sun with Dinghies, Only 3 races in total. Crane would be expensive but I can Enquire. Please let me Know if I should pursue this any further.

I don't see this as a viable option all that travelling for three races no thanks. Would it not be better to ask Carsington if they would be willing to allocate the last blast as the Soutrherns, I know geographically its not the south be its just a title the event and quality of racing which is important. We need to sort this out for next year, I'm sorry Arun but to me it’s a mess what a thingy up, I wanted to do the Southerns as scheduled, it would have been a great opportunity to get sea practice before the worlds. We need a Southern club who can hold this event, Rutland, Gratham or the South coast.
