Alternative promotions have always sorted out good ferry deals for loads of us, guess what I don't have the number to hand! As for hotel deals....wait for it get a van of course, there are however, rumours that some people are intending to bring proper motorhomes, with fridges and beds and all manner of totally unecessary gimmicks! Anybody knows that true international atheletes only need 2 shelves in a van, one for the crew and one for the beer!

Camp Carsington has all the gadgets including fridges, sound systems and multiple cookers. Some people even think that we have our own loo!
Must get me a new bed having blown the old one up at Fast Sail (details and picture available somewhere else on this forum).

I suppose you could call it a state of mind.
For those fortunate enough not to have seen it, the camp is established at each worlds and usually consists of two vans and a Citroen Picasso plus on one occasion a VW camper. Vehicles are corralled into a neat(ish) square and a tarpaulin placed above the hole in the middle.
Really missed it last year when we had to stay in a hotel.

Just spoke to Alternative promotions. All ferry company's this year run an airline booking system, so the closers it get to the crossing date the prices go up (now theres a shocker). There is also a direct Plymouth to Rostock sailing if anyone wants it? but a day sailing as a night crossing you will have to have a cabin.

Are you sure its Plymouth to Rostock and not Roscoff, as it would be some sailing if it was. It would take at least two days.

Should we fly the flag at the worlds? At end of days sailing (before falling down water is drunk) should we hoist the Union Jack or the cross of St George? Discuss
