Cuillin, So I have my spreaders set at the old diamond location, both skipper and crew are 175 - 180 lbs. What do you suggest for adjustment on the spreaders? Sail in San Francisco bay with typical winds in the 20 - 30 knot range.

So I changed the spreaders, Part No. SLD52217901 Spreader Lug Bracket SLD50375401 Spreader w/Barrel Ext (pair) SLD52218001 Spreader Bracket Front Wrap Total Cost: $167.20 Current location is where the diamonds were. Setting are 9 turns out on the adjusters for the angle (almost maxed), and using the 6th hole in the spreader tip adjuster.
Will advise once I get it on the water. Next race Jan 27th.

Ok, so here is the information I received and here is also the dimensions of the spreaders on the boat. I was told by someone that the setup should be: 430 mm length to tip of spreader 780 mm between the tips.
My new swept back spreaders are 495 mm from the pin in the bracket to the end of the tube. I still have the adjustable sleeve within the tube adjusted out further. The spreaders are currently swept back as far as they can go without touching the mast at the heel of the tube and are 889 mm from adjustment pin to pin on the spreader tube. Again, not even measureing out to the end of the adjustment sleeve.
Does anyone have a mast down with sweptback spreaders?
