Having looked at some of these training picture, I was wondering if you could tell me when Slippery Sam, was converted back to using Spinaker bags and not the chute? or did they just get it wrapped around there neck?

In a debrief afterwards it appears that they tried to improvise a combined pole and spinnaker downhaul system.
The spinnaker downhaul was cleverly clipped onto the pole uphaul by a well practiced manoever by Papa Pierre.
This necessitated the trip onto the foredeck to use the bow spinnaker bag.
I hope this helps, but I feel this manoever is way beyond the reach of mere mortals like us, and is best left to these sailing gods.
I am fairly confident that this tactic has most probably been practiced in deep secrecy by the Gillygod, but maybe some pertinent instruction of the technique has been lost while explaining to our man Jtp(congratulations m8)

I'm sure Gilly will be pleased that the boat has been converted to a bow spinnaker bag. He had so much fun with the convetional bag in Martinique.
By the way I can't remember if I had mention how the good the worlds were in Martinque, just in case I hadn't they were fantastic.

Oh bugger I thought that we had kept that quite and were mostly going to spring our new secret technique upon you all at the Nationals, then when you had all crashed into each other because you were laughing so much we were going to drift accross the line in first place.. Oh well back to the drawing board then!

Jtp(congratulations m8) was hard at work yesterday. When he had finished refining the spinaker bag system he was to be seen filling and polishing. He was proudly showing everybody his invisible repair and the bow now almost looks quite good, well for now that is.

He has only done that, so we can count the marks after the racing.

Jeez I gotta see that! It hardly seems fair to mock the afflicted, but I seem to remember that the last offer of "top tips" resulted in a certain Mr Hartley having to run away screaming from a man called Knoblick. Soon after that he retired from Tempest sailing and is now, I believe living in a home for de-frocked Labour MP's and time share pimps. Not that I'm in anyway suggesting that sailing lessons aren't needed at Carsington...sadly Bill the Tree/Jtp(congratulations m8) tought me all I know... Where is EEEEEE..Brian Crampton when you don't need him?

I see that a certain individual has been get in some warm water training. Mind you I could not see any pictures of him on a boat, but if you follow the link below, I am sure that you can see him first across the line for the rum? www.sailingweek.com/imc/social.php
