This new forum is very slow on my computer (broadband). After every click I have to wait at least a second before action happens. Nowhere else on The web I have to wait. Am I the onlyone...?
Correction: sometimes more like 4 seconds!! [Agent:2]

There will invariably be times when this forum is slow , I have experienced it myself, this I have no control over, after all this is a remotely hosted free forum by Pro-boards and although I suspect their servers to be quite large, they do host a large amount of forums per server, each one will/could have a large amount of traffic, this will affect the speed both with this forum and any other forum sharing the same server! Rob, you mention that you do not experience this with other websites, I`m sorry to point out that this really means nothing, there really are too many variables that affect speed, too many to list, but one of the most common will be traffic, the more users hitting on websites hosted on a particular server and with possible bandwidth restrictions, will have impact on the speed of data transfer and all sites on that server will be affected. Anyway, I hope that this may explain things abit. Nige. (Sorry, bad day) [Agent:2]

delete your old files in your cache. . . that should help a bunch. Also get rid of anyother program that may be using bandwidth.

Nope.....
I'm not gonna upgrade just because of the Brittish Tempest forum.
All the other forums (fora?; Tempest and otherwise) flash directly on my screen.
Nope.....

No idea what the problem is All I know it took a long time to create this forum and you are the only on who seems to have a problem with speed of load. Not got a clue, don`t know. If its that much of bind to get on this forum then why has`nt anyone else had problems? Sods law says that we should have more than one with the problem, if there is a problem at all? [Agent:2]

Now the speed is allright.
Might as well restart sailing Tempest again. Tomorrow I'll sail the Ned 22 for the first since Tempest week in Ullswater 2006.... That's allmost two years.....
So now my mind is free to focus on the speed of the Tempest...
