I am considering getting a Davis Windex 10 or 15 for my Tempest masthead.
Has anyone used one of these and how did you mount it?
Thanks,

those are fine. You need to drill a hole in the side of the mast or on top to sink the screw and mount it. They work great.

Got it installed Sun am. Straightforward job, thanks to a couple of boys that helped me reset the mast.
Took the boat out for a sail after that and the Windex really helped me. Adding new sail tell tales and shroud and backstay tell tales next week. Also hiking straps and tiller extension. I finished making a new tiller from one inch square alum tubing last night.
When I get all that done, all I'll need is some spinnaker blocks and lines and some cosmetic work.
Thanks for the reply.

Installed Davis Tell Tales on the jib and Ronstan leech Tell tales on the main, and Davis Tell Tales on the Shrouds(I need all the help I can get). Really work well, better than yarn, or at least the yarn that was on the sails when I got the boat. I can see the tell tales through the sail so I can see the leeward telltales as well as the windward ones. I was able with my new tiller extension to sit in the crew position and adjust the jib so all of the telltales were streaming on both sides of the sail.
