I am looking for a new crew, the old one has buggered off to Antigua and left me in the lurch (not a comfortable place to sit at all!) He did forget to take his boat though...which was nice! must have sailing GOD like skills and carry about 16 stone for heavyer weather yet have the uncanny ability to loose about 6 of them for lighter airs (Gilly used to take raw chicken supprise to acheive that) Must have enough loose cash to buy the boat when sponsor gets pissed off at not being able to sail anymore! Must be able to drink more than 2 pints...so they can make sure I get to bed Must not be overawed by the presence of sailing deities! must not mind sharing a compact yet bijou sleeping accomodation must like buying beer I think thats it Interested parties please contact with full CV and bank statement.
Thats it then, if the punishment buggerings are being taken away its off to the sunshine for Slippery Sam. Anyway I've found something better than raw chicken suprise....Suzies Hot Sauce, works in seconds. "I fell in through a burning ring of fire" or something like that. Anyway I've found something better than Tempests....Maltese Falcon....thats what I want. I wonder if they do a trailer to fit?
The chap I sail with out here was asking if I had thought of trying some other sport, it seems that spinnaker bags should be tied to the boat not the spinnaker....sounds daft to me, if that were the case they'd be called boat bags wouldnt they? Anyway must go I've got to go buy 6 more spinnaker bags for Thursdays racing!
johnonkeowee: Hi, I am purchasing a 1967 Tempest this Saturday. Am looking forward to learning how to race it. Own a Catalina 22 now for 6 years. Know very little about it except that there will be 5 in our club including mine. John
