I am thinking about using the Harken H240 swivel base, bullseye fairlead cam cleats for my jib sheet, in place of the clam cleats that are on my boat. There are clam cleats on the gunnels near the jib turning blocks(I just replaced them with Harken ratchet blocks), and also on the table in front of the traveler.
Anyone have any experience doing this. What's the setup for the jib cleats on the new Tempests?
Thanks,

I got and installed the H240's and they work fine. After I got them in, I found a good picture of a new Mader and it looks like they have the H238's on them. Same cleat without the swivel base. That would probably be a little better choice because there are two less places for a line to catch on the 238's, as the 240's have a good bit of "overhang" and a line could get caught under them. That said, it hasn't been a problem so far, and makes tacks a lot smoother and easier as I don't have to look to find the clam cleats and put the jib sheet in them, I just pop the sheet up on the old lee sheet, and haul in the new lee sheet. I can be looking at where I am going and do all that. Much better! I got the 240's because I sail singlehanded most of the time and the swivel gets the cleat pointed at my position in the rear but if I have crew it points at the crew up front. US 307
