Don't worry too much. There is a minimum of 5 countries. And the ITA can use this to expand the #of countries by offering rentals to new countries.
There will be a country trophy where all classes count. So if e.g. the UK wants to win that cup they have to rent a O-jolle.

Folks,
The ITA has decided not to participate in the Vintage Yachting Games 2008.
We are looking forward to welcome you in 2009 for the start of the preparation of the Vintage Yachting Games 2012.
Regards and good winds

Folks, I promised to keep you informed on the Vintage Yachting Games. At this moment the pre-NOR is out for the 2008 Medemblik event. You can find it on www.vintageyachtinggames.org. The event is open for Europe (Female, Male), O-Jolle, FD, Soling and Dragons. During the Opening ceremony 8 Metre yachts will be involved. While during the closing ceremony the winners of the events will sail a race against each other in 12' dingies (originals). Furthermore the discussion is open for the 2012 event. For this second edition there are bids in from Hungary and Italy. We might get a did from Sweden as well. There we expect, next to this group of classes also compitition from the 5.5, 6 and 8 metre classes. Plus the classes that might drop out from this Olympics. Again it is up to the Tempest class to join the movement. So please if you are interested make sure that you national and International Class Organization knows your point of view. Regards and enjoy the winter, Rudy den Outer Vintage Yachting Games [Agent:1]
